The 13th conference of the trade unions of the capital cities has taken place in Rome at the Acquario Romano hosted by da Cgil, Cisl e Uil di Roma e del Lazio. 62 delegates representing 27 trade union organisation have participated, including representatives from the trade unions of capitals of neighbouring countries like Kiev, Minsk e Tunis. During the conference the results of the research carried out in the framework of the Creates project have been presented. The research investigated the role of the trade union organisation in the implementation of the European 2020 Strategy. At the occasion of the conference a declaration of intent between ECTUN and Opce (Network of the Employers Organisation of the European Capital Cities) has been presented. The aim of this document is to start a negotiation and collaboration among the two organisations in order to foster the economic and social development in the local contexts covered by the organisations.
